A Different Way of Understanding Movement
Many riders are taught what to do with their horse. Exercises are practised, movements are repeated and progress is often measured by visible results.
Yet movement itself rarely begins where we think it does.
A shortened step in the forelimb may originate in the ribcage.
A resistant mouth may reflect tension that began in the pelvis.
A horse that appears unwilling may simply be struggling to organise his body in balance.
When the body is viewed as a connected living system, many of these patterns begin to make sense.
Private coaching explores these patterns through the Belinda Bolsenbroek Knowledge System - An educational framework that studies how locomotion, posture and behaviour arise from the organisation of the whole system.
Rather than focusing only on exercises, the work helps riders learn to observe, interpret and support movement more intelligently.
For many students this changes the entire way they see their horses.
What Riders Often Discover
When riders begin studying movement more closely, a subtle shift often takes place.
problems that once seemed confusing begin to organise themselves into patterns.
Instead of feeling that something is simply not "not working," riders begin to recognise how balance, coordination and tension influence the horse's movement. Small details that were once easy to overlook suddenly become meaningful.
This change in perception is often the most valuable part of the learning process.
Private coaching provides the space to explore this process carefully - horse by horse, rider by rider.
The Nature of Private Coaching
Private coaching is designed for riders who wish to explore movement thoughtfully and in depth.
Rather than focusing on isolated lessons, the sessions follow the developing understanding of the horse and rider over time. Each horse and rider present a unique organisation of postures, coordinations and behaviour, and the work unfolds through careful observation and guided exploration.
For this reason the coaching packages are structured as a small sequence of sessions, allowing the learning process to develop gradually and with continuity.
1:1 Coaching
Live, individualised coaching sessions via Pivo,Pixio, Pixem or Zoom, focused on you and your horse in real time.
Clear Training Direction
Structured progression with clear next steps tailored to your horse's stage of development.
The following coaching pathways allow riders to begin work at different levels of commitment.
The Immersion Pathway - 12 Sessions
This pathway is designed for riders who are ready to develop a true understanding of movement, rather than simply improve performance.
Over 12 sessions we work progressively through the organisation of the horse and rider, allowing patterns to change, stability to develop and new coordination to become reliable.
This pathway is essential for:
- Long-term development
- Rehabilitation cases (including complex conditions)
- Riders seeking significant and lasting change
This is where the real work happens.
The Foundation Pathway - 6 Sessions
This pathway offers a focused introduction to the work, or the opportunity to address a specific challenge within your horse's training.
It is suitable for;
- Riders new to the system
- Short term problem solving
- Those wishing to experience the approach before committing further
Many riders begin here before continuing into the Immersion Pathway.
